Molly Ringwald and Swarovski Crystallize New York

Molly Ringwald, the star of iconic films, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink hosted a private event for her new book “Getting the Pretty Back” at Swarovski Crystallized Concept Store in Soho New York. She looked absolutely amazing in her champagne silk dress with nude open-toe heels to match. Attendees for the night included Cindy Sherman, Donna D’Cruz, Kimberly Guilfoyle and the dynamic duo Isabel and Ruben Toledo. In the new self-help book, Molly wants to motivate and empower women of all ages and help them to get back in touch with the “essential self”. Ringwald explained, she wrote about what she knew and we can expect to read about her family life and friendships throughout her career, amongst other things. “I wrote it for everyone, primarily women.” said Ringwald when asked about her target audience. “Mothers and daughters but each person that reads my book will get something out of it. I also dedicated the book to my husband and all women.” When I asked her about her transition from being a child star to author, she replied “Well, people often think I’ve been a teenage for longer then I have been but with the television series and the book, people are finally getting that I am older. It has been a good transition but a long one.”
