The energy was palpable at the 12th Annual NYC Plate by Plate Tasting Benefit at the Metropolitan Pavillion on Friday. Every year, Project by Project, a national volunteer organization partners with a different non-profit and builds a campaign focused on fundraising (the Plate by Plate benefit), community outreach and public awareness. This year, the proceeds went to support its 2010 partner, Hamilton-Madison House, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing health and social programs to the Asian immigrant community in NYC. It was a night of inspiration earlier this week at the luxe Boom Boom Room where the Reeve Champions Summer Party was held. The fundraising event was organized by The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s Champions Committee representatives Alexandra Reeve Givens and Matthew Reeve (daughter and son of the late Christopher Reeve), Francesco Clark of Clark Botanicals, Elisa Lipsky-Karasz of Harper’s Bazaar and DIOR BEAUTY. Linda Wells (the editor-in-chief of Allure Magazine and actor Hayden Christensen (most recently in New York, I Love You and Takers) were also on hand to special guest host the evening’s festivities.
