Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), the nation’s oldest HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care services provider, hosted their annual event Fashion Forward that featured a runway show with men’s and women’s looks from various designer collections. There was also a luxury silent and live auction emceed by Tracee Ellis Ross and Brad Goreski featuring vacation packages to France, Brazil, Sweden, Bulgari watches, Apple iPad 2 Style Experience, Kymco vespa, Fire Island Pines summer package, AIX Armani Exchange fashion, Robert Marc eyewear and more.It was definitely a night to remember.
OpenSky Presents Perez Hilton’s “One Night in NYC”
As bloggers go Perez Hilton is one of the most notorious. Often recognized for his sharp tongue and take no prisoners approached to gossip he is more often seen as a social pariah than a patron saint. Though many may not know of his softer side thousands witnessed first hand the extent of his reach, as he pulled together an amazing charity event in NYC’s Hammerstein ballroom. The evening aptly titled “One Night in NYC” is a partnership with Hilton and the GLSEN to raise awareness and raise funds to help prevent bullying in schools. Who says giving back to the music community could not be a fun and exciting experience? Certainly not anyone who has attended a “Save The Music” event. Team JSD was invited to a memorable afternoon at the Give Back Hollywood benefit for VH1’s Save the Music Foundation.
