The bar was set high as Shecky’s rolled out their first event at the Altman Building this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Shecky’s is best known for Girls Night Out – their fabulous shopping and beauty events held throughout the year in all major cities including LA, Miami and DC. P.S. 450 no, not the school, but the quaint lounge nestled at the edge of Chelsea was comfortably filled with bloggers on August 11, 2010. In attendance, were lifestyle, entertainment and fashion bloggers plus everything else in between. Whatever you’re vice there was a blog there that could fill it. “Who knew there were so many bloggers?” That question never ceased to amaze me nor did it amaze Arie Rich, creator of KMP (Keep Me Posted) blog and host of Blog Café 2.0. This is the second year that she threw this event to help bring the blogging community together. Read more

It was a night of inspiration earlier this week at the luxe Boom Boom Room where the Reeve Champions Summer Party was held. The fundraising event was organized by The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s Champions Committee representatives Alexandra Reeve Givens and Matthew Reeve (daughter and son of the late Christopher Reeve), Francesco Clark of Clark Botanicals, Elisa Lipsky-Karasz of Harper’s Bazaar and DIOR BEAUTY. Linda Wells (the editor-in-chief of Allure Magazine and actor Hayden Christensen (most recently in New York, I Love You and Takers) were also on hand to special guest host the evening’s festivities. Just this past Sunday at the Soho Grand Yard I had one of the best NY dinner experiences of the summer. The Hunger NYC hosts a series of communal Pop-up dinner events beginning in May of this year. The theme was Argentinean BBQ. The pop-up dinner series will feature a new theme and menu. Chef Camille Becerra, a former Top Chef contestant is the creator of the menu series. Read more
