The Twentyten Spring/Summer 2011

Three designers – Jeff Dodd, David J. Krause and Nina Zilka – collectively make up The Twentyten. These talented designers met at Pratt Institute and decided to take avant-garde to another level. Collection Four, their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, explores the dynamics of the mind while combining complex creativity. The pieces this season transition from dark and playful, vibrant and gloomy to intricate and delicate simplicity; all consistent with the inner-workings in the mind of a fictional female character. Temperley London is one designer that, in my opinion, outdoes herself every year. Last year, her fashion presentation was intriguing with beautiful pieces and a story that empowered women across the board in a unique way. Blog Cafe 2.0 Recap

P.S. 450 no, not the school, but the quaint lounge nestled at the edge of Chelsea was comfortably filled with bloggers on August 11, 2010. In attendance, were lifestyle, entertainment and fashion bloggers plus everything else in between. Whatever you’re vice there was a blog there that could fill it. “Who knew there were so many bloggers?” That question never ceased to amaze me nor did it amaze Arie Rich, creator of KMP (Keep Me Posted) blog and host of Blog Café 2.0. This is the second year that she threw this event to help bring the blogging community together. Read more

Exquisite is the word and Dennis Basso is the name. His Fall 2010 collection spoke volumes as luxuries furs, cut-away and asymmetrical fronts, large face-framing collars, slim pants, and body-grazing knit dresses and gowns lined the runway. Read more
