Farah Angara Spring 2011 was a beautiful exotic mix of Indonesia, the traditional and ethnic elements blending with Western themes. Farah wanted to translate beautiful silhouettes worn in Indonesia into more European wear. Shown were the spirit, warmth and life in Indonesia in the colors used throughout the collection, greens, blues, earth tones, pinks and golds.

The collection had a mixture of elegant gowns and super short mini dresses. Farah’s intricate embroidery and couture details were displayed during this presentation. Cocktail dresses with Swarovski crystal rocks and metal chain embroidery, gold beads, sequins and lace appliqués was seen throughout the collection of beautiful gowns, cocktail dresses and mini dresses.

Corsettes with Capri pants, tribal tops paired with silk leggings and cocktail dresses with feather details. Black silk charmeuse pleated one-shoulder mini to a black chiffon ruffle one-shoulder gown. Gold silk lame strapless gown. Green draped silk chiffon long sleeve Kebaya mini dress.  All had great couture detailing that had everyone in awe.

Farah wanted to take people on a journey to show them the diversity of Indonesia which she did accomplish with this collection.
