On Tuesday Aug 3rd Russell Simmons and Macy’s teamed up to launch the Fall 2010 collection of Argyleculture. The presentation was held at Ampersand Studios on New York City’s west side.
The look and feel exemplifies the mature (i.e. over 25) yet sexy man who is very confident. The models on the runway sported the latest looks of suits, cardigans, and lots of argyle. The collection looked clean and crisp. Meant to be a counterpart to the hugely successful Phat Farm line the collection is classy with hints of soul. The brand will be sold at Macy’s exclusively. Simmons known for always rocking argyle himself was not wearing anything resembling it. Instead the mogul chose a light blazer and button down shirt. Hmm is he on to the next already?
The room was filled with celebrities and models that came out to support Uncle Russ. Veteran model Andre, Jade (ANTM), Jaslene Gonzalez (ANTM) graced the runway. While other notables like Courtney Love, Adrienne Bailon, Andre Harrell, Anthony Anderson, DJ Cassidy, and designer Nicole Miller enjoyed the show.
