Henri Bendel x Hats By Selima

As we are approaching fashion week the anticipation and excitement could be felt at Henri Bendel NYC on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. The celebration and opening of Hats by Selima between 6-8pm was a fashion wonderland!

Selima who is known for her one of a kind eyewear designs which can be seen in fashion magazines such as Bazaar, Elle, Cosmo and many others have recently collaborated with hat designer Virginie and “vuala” we have the beautiful and amazing creations, Hats by Selima!

The evening was filled with joyous faces and good energy. The DJ played and smiley guest sipped on champagne while shopping and trying on hats hats and more hats! Feathered hats, jeweled hats, top hats, petite cocktail hats in candy colors of all shapes, sizes, styles and textures. Pink felt, red felt, purple felt, red feathers, black feathers, multi-colored jewels and pearls were amongst some of the colors and textures. Selima herself wearing a red top hat trimmed with black ribbon, feathers, veil and pearls and Virginie wearing a cheetah print top hat, which looked very Alice and Wonderland inspired! On the spot custom made Selima fashion hats were being made by creative energy Lopetli. The hats price range, $138.00-$338.00.

To top off the evening was wonderful fashion designer Catherine Malandrino showing up and in attendance. If you did not have a chance to make it out to Henri Bendel this past Wednesday, it truly was a colorful evening of hat bliss that you could not help but to smile when you tried on one of the hats and even tourist looking in through the windows could see and experience this fashion filled wonderland!
